Dr. Anja Widmann

Dr.Anja Widmann was born near Frankfurt, Germany. She grew up in various parts of Germany, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. After completing high school at the Colegio Alemán in Mexico City, Dr. Widmann attended medical school at the Karl Eberhard Universität Tübingen, Germany. During her years of medical studies, she performed various clinical rotations and sub-internships in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and the United States. After graduating from Medical School in 2006 , she moved to NYC to begin her Pediatric Residency at Jacobi Medical Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, which she completed in 2011. Shortly thereafter she moved to Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico and started working on fulfilling her dream of building a pediatric practice on the Mexican pacific coast. During the process of construction and revalidation of her studies by the Mexican authorities, Dr. Widmann performed a social service at the Hospital General de Puerto Escondido for 6 months where she familiarized herself with the local health care system. Since October 2012 she has been providing pediatric care at Consultorio Pediátrico Oasis del Pacífico. Dr. Widmann is Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
